Me Catherine Lagger-Fournier studied law at the University of Fribourg (2005-2010).
Between 2010 and 2016, she evolved within the international law firm PYTHON & PETER (Sion branch), as a trainee attorney and then, after having passed the bar examinations in 2012, as an attorney at law developing an independent activity. At the same time, she also completed her notary training.
She joined the law firm MC ATTORNEYS LLC in November 2016 as an associate.
With the benefit of over 6 years of experience at the Bar, she acquired the necessary skills and expertise in assisting people from abroad taking up residency and acquiring real estate in Switzerland. She has experience in specific enforcement, escrow and bankruptcies, in commercial and contractual law and in judicial proceedings regarding constructions and various contracts (sale, service, brokerage, employment and lease agreements).
She acted also as legal counsel in judicial proceedings in Geneva with international ramifications.
She gained expertise in contract law monitoring the sale of a group of companies and in bankruptcy law with the conduct of the bankruptcy of a non-authorized banking establishment.
The practice of notarial law enabled her to develop her knowledge in commercial law and in property law (in particular federal act on the acquisition of real estate by foreigners and federal rural land act) as well as in matrimonial and inheritance law (inheritance agreement, agreement for the share of an estate, anticipated inheritance and marriage contract).
