Admitted to the Geneva bar in 1990, Gilles Crettol studied law at the Universities of Bern and Geneva and holds a law degree delivered by the University of Geneva (1988).
Gilles Crettol joined the law firm Monfrini Crettol & Partners as a partner in 2004.
After professional experience in a Geneva law firm where he practised arbitration, Gilles Crettol worked for over a year in a legal counsel office in Tokyo where he counselled Japanese and Swiss companies (1991-1992).
Between 1993 and 2003, Gilles Crettol worked as an associate (1993 – 1998), and then as partner in an important law firm in Geneva where he mainly practised business law and advised Swiss and foreign companies based in Switzerland.
Gilles Crettol’s main activity consists in advising Swiss and foreign persons and companies. Gilles Crettol is also active in the fields of drafting contracts, obtaining residency permits (with or without activity), representing institutional clients before authorities, setting up and managing family offices, in Switzerland and abroad, structuring investment vehicles, delocalising persons and companies in Switzerland and abroad, and tax and estate planning. He can count on a widespread network of professionals abroad, particularly in Asia.
